  • Multi-factor authentication for systems holding health data
  • Restricted access (limited to Lucinda Smith – sole practitioner)
  • Health records are stored in compliance with Australian laws and retained for a minimum period of 7 years from the last consultation (or until age 25 if under 18 at the time of service). After this period, it will be securely deleted or de-identified.

5. Disclosure of Information

We will never sell your data. We may disclose your information to:

  • Your GP, referring health professional or care team (with consent)
  • Third-party providers that assist in delivering services (e.g. practice management, email software, payment processors), who are bound by strict privacy and confidentiality requirements
  • Government agencies where legally required (e.g. court orders, Medicare audits)
  • We do not store your information overseas unless using trusted platforms that meet Australian privacy standards and laws.

6. Accessing & Updating Your Information

You have the right to access and request correction of your personal or health information at any time.

7. Health Information - Special Protections

As an Accredited Practising Dietitian, registered with Dietitians Australia, I am bound to and adhere to strict ethical and legal obligations when handling health information - in accordance with the HRIP Act (NSW) and relevant professional codes of conduct.


Health information is only collected with your knowledge and consent and is used solely for the purpose of your care unless required by law or you provide explicit written authorisation.


8. Cookies & Website Data


We use cookies and analytics tools to understand website functionality and experience. This may include collecting anonymised technical data (e.g. IP address, device/browser type, page views).


You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although some features of our website may not function optimally.


9. Children & Minors

Our website and services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. If a client is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent and participate in care.
We do not provide services to anyone under the age of 13 years, as falls outside our clinical scope of practice.

In the unlikely event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.
