HELLO, I’M LUCINDA
I’m an Accredited Mental Health Dietitian, which means I help support people to improve both their physical and mental well-being through nutrition.
My work focuses on the connection between mental health and eating habits – exploring how nutrition can improve emotional well being and support the management of mental health conditions. I also address medication-related side effects, something often overlooked - yet can be effectively managed with strategic lifestyle changes.
While my specialty is mental health, I also work with clients navigating digestive issues, women’s health, hormone health, body image concerns, and metabolic conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol.
If you’re looking for compassionate, expert guidance tailored to your unique needs – without restriction or shame – I’d love to support you.
Our Story
It all began when a friend reached out, struggling with poor nutrition due to hectic shift work, food aversions, and restrictive thinking around food. After blood tests revealed multiple deficiencies, we worked together to unpack the deeper challenges behind her eating habits – considering her lifestyle, preferences, unique experiences and goals. I supported her with practical tools and personalised strategies, and together we made lasting, impactful changes.
She told me my approach helped her see things differently, and I watched her confidence and health flourish. Being part of that transformation lit a fire in me. I knew I wanted to offer a more holistic, trauma-informed, and personalised approach to nutrition and health – one that prioritises mental well-being and sustainable, empowering change.
I’ve come to deeply understand how hard change can be – even when we know what we “should” be doing. Sometimes, it’s not about more information, but the right kind of support to turn that knowledge into meaningful action.
OUR MISSION
My clients have seen psychologists, followed wellness trends, and gathered tonnes of information - but what they really need is clear, individualised education that cuts through the noise and considers the whole picture. I help break complex, nuanced nutrition and health concepts into actionable steps tailored to their unique needs, providing those aha moments that make everything click.
My goal is to help you create habits that stick - small steps that lead to big changes over time.
Tailored for you, I promise to see you as the wholly unique and wonderful human being that you are.
LED BY RESEARCH, DRIVEN BY CURIOSITY
Beyond Lutrition, I’m part of a research team with UNSW and Mindgardens Neuroscience Research Network on the project Keeping the Body in Mind – Primary Care, a CESPHN-funded program dedicated to improving the physical health outcomes of people living with severe mental ill health. I’m also a current PhD candidate with UNSW, exploring the prevalence and impact of weight bias in severe mental illness healthcare and evaluating the efficacy of a weight-inclusive model of care. This gives me unique, first-hand experience in bridging the gap between physical and mental health care and helps keep me at the forefront of emerging research findings and best practices, ensuring my clients receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care.
